About Founder and President Jody Lang
A proud resident of Miami Beach, Miami Liaison President and Founder Jody Lang is an experienced cultural aficionado, hospitality escort, meeting planner, and networker extraordinaire. Ms. Lang is thrilled to have the opportunity to promote a destination that encompasses so many of her interests and aspirations.
Having traveled to more than 50 countries and lived in five, Ms. Lang is fluent in both English and Spanish, conversational in French and Italian and has a working vocabulary in 10 additional languages. Her wealth of experience in luxury travel, as well as her unique ability to create, identify and blend multicultural events and people, inspired Ms. Lang to form Miami Liaison.
Educational degrees held by Ms. Lang include a M.B.A. in International Management from the Monterey Institute of International Studies in California, and a B.A. in International Relations from American University in Washington D.C. She has attended many international programs, including ITESM in Monterrey, Mexico; Fashion Institute of Technology in New York; “Retailing in London,” Syracuse University Extension in London; and the Sorbonne University in Paris.
She is licensed and certified in Destination Management from the Florida Association of Meeting & Event Professionals and a Tour Guide from Miami Dade College/Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau.
She has also attended ITMI (International Tour Management Institute)
in San Francisco, CA. Ms. Lang’s skills also enable her to provide excellent relocation assistance, as she is familiar with all areas of Miami and
relocated many times herself. Being an Assistant Program Manager for JetsetSports and her Client, Dow Chemical International, at the
Beijing, 2008 Olympics, was a highlight in her career.
A firm believer in giving back to her community, Ms. Lang donates her time to Hands on Miami, Miami Dade College’s School of Hospitality Management, Sister to Sister, Heart Health Fair and serves as an American University Admissions Representative where as an alumni she assists in college fairs, recruiting and as a local representative for admitted students.
Ms. Lang is a member of several prestigious Miami area business, volunteer and networking organizations, including: F.A.M.E. (Florida Association of Meeting & Event Professionals), GMCVB (Greater Miami Convention & Visitor's Bureau),
HOM (Hands on Miami), H.S.M.A.I. (Hospitality, Sales & Marketing Association International), M.C.I.V. (Miami Council for International Visitors), M.I.F.F. (Miami International Film Festival), MPAC (Miami Performing Arts Center), M.P.I. (Meeting Professionals International) and S.F.C.A. (South Florida Concierge Association).
As of September 2009, Ms. Lang was nominated and accepted to be on the Board of the Miami Council for International Visitors
on a three year term. In June 2010, she was actively involved with the planning and implementation of the 50th year celebration in Miami with
invited dignitaries from the National Board in Washington, DC.
